Breathe Fresh, Live Healthy
Can you beat urban air pollution?
Dhaka’s air pollution is one of the biggest factors negatively impacting our quality of life – we are all aware of the lung diseases, cardiac problems and allergies which are affecting our city dwellers in alarming numbers. Even when we are in relative safety indoors, we are exposed to hazardous levels of pollution when we open the windows to ventilate our indoor spaces. Leaving the windows permanently shut is not the solution – even with air conditioning – because it creates a stale, stuffy, unhealthy environment. The good news is that it is possible to have proper ventilation and clean indoor air by using ERVs.
Apart from the health benefits, using an ERV will keep your indoor space much cleaner because you will not get the dust and dirt which you would be getting by opening the windows. It will also prevent dampness and mould and will remove stuffiness and odours to keep your indoor space fresh all the time. Another big plus is that it will reduce the level of noise you get indoors.
What is an ERV?
ERV stands for Energy Recovery Ventilation. An ERV system filters pollution and dust from outside air, continuously draws fresh clean air into your home and removes stale air. By providing efficient ventilation combined with energy recovery, it plays a fundamental role in maintaining good indoor air quality. ERV systems are used internationally in energy efficient residential and commercial spaces and are now being promoted and launched by us in Bangladesh.
